Whitmore Pool Bathroom Cleaning Procedures

Swim Team is responsible for cleaning the bathrooms:toilets, mirrors, floors, and floor drain covers.

1. Gather all lost and found items.
   1. Place towels, clothing and swimsuits in the lost and found bin
   2. Place goggles and caps in the coaches’ office.
2. Clean the bathrooms:
   1. Get supplies from pump room (bucket, long handled scrub brushes, floor disinfectant, toilet brush, sponges). Use the hose attached in the room.
   2. Fill bucket with 6 oz. liquid disinfectant and fill rest with water.
   3. Hose down bathroom floors, sinks and toilets.
   4. Scrub the floor thoroughly with the disinfectant.
   5. Use a sponge and/or toilet brush to scrub sinks and toilets.
   6. Hose off all the sinks, toilets, and floors to rinse disinfectant.
   7. Wipe down toilet seats and mirrors with paper towels.
   8. Clean floor drains of hair…..yucky, yes but necessary, use rubber gloves and paper towels.
3. Empty trash cans, take bags to dumpster.
4. Exit through the coaches’ office.  Gates should be locked when coaches leave.
